Processing and delivery
Electronic delivery: For digital gift certificates only. Your gift certificate will be emailed to you as a PDF within 24 hours once your payment is confirmed.
Prints processing: for custom prints and printed gift certificates. The time I need to prepare an order is a minimum of 6 days depending on how responsive you are sending information, suggesting changes and signing off. You can take as long as you need and I won't rush your personalisation process. See the process page for a more detailed breakdown.
Prints delivery: United Kingdom 2-3 business days; Europe 3-5 business days; United States 5-7 business days; rest of the world 5-10 business days.
I'll do my best to meet these processing and delivery estimates, but I can't guarantee them. Actual delivery time will depend on the delivery method you choose and Royal Mail services.
Cancellations and refunds
I gladly accept cancellations: request a cancellation within 24 hours of purchase.
I don't accept returns or exchanges: but please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
Privacy policy
To help me fulfil your order, I will send you a form requesting certain information such as your name, email address, and the names of family members you would like to feature on your custom family tree print.
On the form, you can choose between two options:
- Giving me permission to keep a secure copy of your custom family tree design and family's names so I can update your tree in the future. This means you will only need to pay for the extra names, printing and postage as your family grows. You can change your mind and let me know by contacting me on the details below.
- Requesting that I delete the design file and records of your family's names after your order is shipped.
In either case, I do not share any of this personal information with a third party. I may feature photographs or samples of your family tree design for promotional purposes.
If you reside in certain territories, including the UK and EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information:
- You have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
- You have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information.
- You have the right to raise a concern about my use of your information with your local data protection authority.
For purposes of UK and EU data protection laws, I, Joanna Choukeir, am the data controller of your personal information.
Legal notices
Design My Family Tree is owned and operated by Joanna Choukeir – a self-employed sole trader – and is not a separate legal entity.
The owner is personally responsible for all business activities, obligations, and liabilities. All agreements made under this name are with the individual operating the business.

All artwork, family tree designs, layouts, illustrations, written content, and branding featured on this website are my original work and are protected by copyright and intellectual property law.
Please do not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, commercially use, or republish any content without prior written permission.
I also kindly ask that my work is not used for artificial intelligence or machine learning purposes, including AI training, dataset creation, automated scraping, generative AI inputs, or imitation of my artistic style and designs.
Any third-party collaboration does not affect ownership unless agreed in writing.
